Immunefi now allows users to verify and save wallets associated with their accounts. This feature streamlines the reward process for bug reports by eliminating the need for subsequent wallet ownership verification.
How to Add a Wallet
To add a new wallet to your Immunefi account, start by visiting the Wallets and Payments page at https://immunefi.com/settings/wallets-and-payments. This page displays all the wallets you've previously added to your account.
To add a new wallet, look for the "Add Wallet" button and click it. This action will open a modal window containing a form for wallet verification. In this form, you'll need to select the platform for your wallet. Currently, Immunefi only supports EVM wallets.
Next, you'll need to connect your wallet. Once connected, you have the option to give your wallet a custom name. If you choose not to provide a name, the system will automatically use a shortened version of your wallet address as an identifier.
After filling out the necessary information, click the 'Verify and Add' button. At this point, you'll be prompted to sign a message to verify your ownership of the wallet. This signature request is merely for verification purposes and doesn't initiate a blockchain transaction or incur any gas fees.
Once you've signed the verification message, your wallet will be successfully added to your list of saved wallets on Immunefi. You can now use this wallet when submitting reports or receiving rewards.
Remember, you can repeat this process to add multiple wallets to your account, giving you flexibility in managing your rewards across different addresses.
Replacing Wallets
To make things even more convenient, Immunefi provides an option to set your newly added wallet as the default reward payment address for all future reports. You'll see a checkbox during the wallet creation process - simply mark this checkbox to make your new wallet the address for rewards.
It's worth noting that Immunefi automatically updates all your existing report drafts to use your most recently saved wallet. This ensures that your preferred wallet is always up to date, even for reports you've started but haven't yet submitted.
Using Saved Wallets
When you're ready to submit a new report on Immunefi, you'll have the option to select from your list of saved wallets. This feature streamlines the submission process, allowing you to quickly choose a verified wallet without the need for additional verification steps.
If you're submitting a report for a project that doesn't use the EVM platform, don't worry. The system still allows you to manually enter a wallet address for these cases, ensuring flexibility across different blockchain platforms.
Changing Wallets for Specific Reports
While Immunefi aims to make wallet management as seamless as possible, we understand that you might sometimes need to use a different wallet for a specific report. To accommodate this, we've built in some flexibility to our system.
After you've submitted a report and it has been escalated or confirmed, you'll have the opportunity to change the associated wallet. This option is available directly on the report page itself. However, it's important to note that this change must be made before the payment is processed. Once a reward has been paid, the wallet cannot be changed for that specific report.
This feature allows you to tailor your wallet usage to specific reports or circumstances, giving you greater control over your reward management. Remember, you can always view and manage your saved wallets from the Wallets and Payments settings page, ensuring you always have the right wallet ready for each report submission.
Wallet History
Immunefi maintains a comprehensive record of all changes to your saved wallets, viewable in the "History" table on your Wallets and Payments settings page. This feature tracks:
- Addition of new wallets
- Replacement of existing wallets
Each entry in the History table includes the date, time, and details of the change, providing a clear audit trail of your wallet management activities. This historical record ensures transparency and aids in tracking or verifying past wallet configurations when needed.
