Communication regarding your bug bounty program is primarily done via email notifications. This is especially true if you have not set up PagerDuty or Webhook notifications.
By default, all notifications will be enabled for your account.
To customize your email notifications, go to your account settings and click the ‘Email Preferences’ tab. There you will see options to customize email notifications for new submissions, report updates, and for messages/information.
It is important to note that these settings are for individual accounts, and will not be applied to other users on the program.
Do these settings differ based on user role?
The full list of notification settings is available to both members and admins, but there are some settings that will only affect notifications for admins. For example, the weekly spam filter report is only sent to project admins, so even if a member chooses to activate email notifications for this item, they will not receive the weekly report because they have the incorrect user role. This also applies to the settings under ‘New Submissions’ because members do not receive these notification emails.
Are there any notification settings that cannot be changed?
You will always receive email notifications for SLA reminders and breaks. However, you are able to change the notification settings for SLA payout information.
How does this work for multiproject users?
If you are a multiproject user, your email notification settings will be applied across all of the bug bounty programs that are connected to your account.
