To improve your experience on our platform, we have redesigned the Dashboard to give you more control over how information is presented. These changes will make it easier for you to find the reports and updates you are looking for.
New Program Reports Table
We have updated the program reports page with new designs and features for ease of use and improved navigability. Below is a detailed description of the changes
Filters
Above the report table, you will see a new, streamlined layout for filtering options. These options allow you to change the way information is presented on the table. You have the option to filter by report status, severity, tag, and whitehat user name. You can also filter out all previously read reports.
It is important to note that all of these settings are applied per user. If you change the filters on your account, it will have no impact on what other users see when they log on.
Unread Toggle
In the filtering options, there is a new toggle button labeled ‘Unread’. When this is selected, the table will only show reports that you have not read before (along with any reports that you have specifically marked as ‘Unread’).
Changes to the Report Table
To make unread reports stand out, we’ve changed the way they are presented on the table. Unread reports are now presented with bold font and a bright white background.
Checkbox and Mark as Read/Unread
A new checkbox column has been added to the left side of the table. This allows you to select reports, which you can then mark as either ‘Read’ or ‘Unread’.
You can also select or deselect all reports on the table by clicking on the checkbox that is above the table. The box will start in the ‘Empty’ state to signify that no reports have been selected. When you click on it, it will shift to the ‘All selected’ state, which means that all the reports on the table have been selected. If you click on it again, it will return to ‘Empty’ and all of the reports will be deselected.
There is also a ‘Deselect all selected’ state that will occur when you have manually selected some reports. Clicking on the box in this state will deselect all of the reports and return the box to ‘Empty’.
Selecting reports allows you to mark them as ‘Read’ or ‘Unread’, which can help you keep reports organized. Please note that you will only see the option to mark the reports as ‘Unread’ when all of the selected reports are read. However, only one of the selected reports needs to be unread in order to mark all selected reports as ‘Read’.
New Report Page Features
We have added two new features to the report page to make it easier for users to pick up where you left off in the report timeline. These features include a ‘New’ line and a ‘New Update’ hover button that indicate the presence of new updates (comments, severity changes, and status changes) in the report timeline.
The ‘New’ Line
A ‘New’ line will appear on the timeline to show users where new, unseen updates have occurred since the last time that specific user viewed the report.
Please note that if you mark the report as ‘Read’ or ‘Unread’ on the report table, then the line will disappear in that report.
New Update Hover Button
A ‘new update’ hover button will appear on reports where new updates have been added since the last time you viewed the report. This button will indicate how many new updates there are, and when you click it, it will take you to the part of the timeline containing the new updates.
If you do not wish to see the ‘new update’ hover button, you can click the X next to it to mark the report as read. You can also refresh the page, which will get rid of both the ‘New’ line and the hover button.
